SOME OF MY MARKETING WORK
After two years of working in UCSB’s Sports Marketing Division, I wanted to show recruiters the actual results my work in marketing has contributed to. As noted in my resume, I have developed marketing material that helped attract over 10,000 fans at a Men’s Soccer match, which is actually more than double the home attendance average of Division I NCAA Basketball games. I also included our 2017 and 2018 average to show how our attendance numbers, averaging 2,411, are significantly higher than most Division I NCAA Men’s Soccer teams, averaging 175. I would also like to point out that schools known for their athletics and marketing program, such as UCLA and Stanford, are still trailing UCSB Men’s Soccer in home attendance.

SALVATION ARMY CLIENT STORIES
Yahiya Shalgheen is a graduate of The Way In Transitional Housing Program in Hollywood. In 2010, at the age of 18, Yahiya arrived in the US after fleeing Syria with barely any money. Yahiya left everything and everyone he knew in Syria because he feared his life for the simple reason of who he chose to love. After struggling with homelessness for a few months, Yahiya found The Salvation Army Transitional Shelter Program where he finally found the support and stability he needed to take the next step in his journey.
SALVATION ARMY CLIENT STORIES
Paula is currently the Administrative Assistant at the Pasadena Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) and a loving mother. However, it took many years of hard work and discipline to get where she is at today. Before entering the ARC program, Paula knew she had a substance abuse problem, but felt so lost and too caught in the moment to get the help she so desperately needed. Luckily for her, a few of Paula’s family members referred her to The Salvation Army ARC and she entered the program with a willingness to grow, something she hadn’t allowed herself to do in a very long time.
